INNOVATION

ALMAC AND ITS BET ON ALL ELECTRIC FOR REFUELING

“As for the future, it is not a question of foreseeing it, but of making it possible” (A. De Saint Exupéry)

Daniel MERCIER, president of the company ALMAC EUROPE, an SME based in Ain in Guéreins, specializing in the manufacture and renovation of aircraft refueling equipment, remains convinced that his determination of 2017 for 100% electric refueling can under different forms of investment meet the expectations of airports, airlines and fueling companies in terms of decarbonisation.

The companies in charge of refueling aircraft with kerosene are looking for solutions to renovate their fleet of equipment into hybrid or 100% electric vehicles to meet the need for airport decarbonisation.

However, the Covid-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the aviation market and most certainly affected their investment budgets at the same time.

For ALMAC EUROPE, which was already innovating in 2017 with a 100% electric oil server, the mobilization to find a solution began naturally.

ALMAC EUROPE has now succeeded in its bet on an innovative solution in the field of refueling: T.T.E. (Thermal into Electrical Transformation) and today we have the honor to present the first TTE to come out of our workshops.

The T.T.E 1001 is the first retrofitted refueling vehicle.

The T.T.E technique makes it possible to convert an airport fueling vehicle with a combustion engine into an electric energy vehicle.

Thus, we can respond to the challenges:

Economical: – Renovation and modernization of end-of-life vehicle thus avoiding scrapping – Acquisition of equipment at a cost much lower than a new investment – Significantly reduced operating costs
Social: the well-being of the user and surrounding staff who are no longer subject to gas fumes and noise
Environmental: contribution to the decarbonisation of airports
In addition, a T.T.E 20 00 L refueller prototype should see the light of day by the end of 2021.

INNOVATION

A 100% ELECTRIC REFUELER 80000 L - GV8000

ALMAC EUROPE contacted an electric chassis manufacturer: the GAUSSIN company, to study with them the possibility of adapting a kerosene distribution system to one of their vehicles in addition to towing a set of two tanks.

The meeting organized by ALMAC EUROPE proved to be conclusive between the companies TotalEnergies and Gaussin.

TotalEnergies, attentive to solutions to engage in reducing its carbon footprint on airport platforms, validated the project for the realization of:

100% ELECTRIC FLUIDER GV8000

INNOVATION

A TOTALLY ELECTRIC LOW PROFILE OLEOSERVEUR GV.

At INTER AIRPORT EUROPE 2017, with the help of GUANGTAI, a company already innovative in China in the field of electrical equipment for airports, supplier of the electric chassis, we presented our new fueling vehicle prototype:

A VERY ELECTRIC LOW PROFILE OLEOSERVER: the “GV – Green Véhicle

Electrical equipment that allows refueling engine off.
With real autonomy, it combines an environmental respect with reduced operating costs and allows the user a better comfort.
We had the pleasure of discussing this innovation at the Munich 2017 show and would like to thank everyone who visited us on the stand.
We remain at your disposal for any information on this material.

In order to design, transform or renovate equipment that brings the satisfaction of my customers, I must listen to them and talk to them about our expertise and our ideas.
